Following is an update from Coach Rob Winkel … The Hornets golf team has now been practicing for about 3 months. The team consists of about 20 regular golfers from ages 8 to 17 years old. Thus far the team has been focused on hitting balls at the driving range in Lowell at The First Tee facility. Each night at practice, we also work on our short game skills by putting on the putting green. Over the next few weeks, we will play the three hole course during our Thursday practice time in order to rank the golfers by their skill level.
Our goal is to be able to put together a team that we can take to nationals next year in Springfield MO.

Let’s Go Hornets!
Shoot-a-thon Results
Thanks to a huge team effort, we raised a little over $9,000 in the shoot-a-thon last week! Way to go HORNETS!! Please use your pledge sheet and multiply the number of shots you made by the pledge per shot for each donor and collect your pledges this week, if possible. All one time contributions should be collected as well. Please do not turn in any money until you have collected from all your donors. Pledge money is due to your coaches no later than October 7. Pledges turned in will be tallied and an email will be sent announcing the team and individual prize winners. Money turned in after the deadline will not count toward team or individual prize competitions.
Many of you have asked about tax receipts for your donors. Here is how we will handle tax receipts for the shoot-a-thon. If you have a donor that wants a receipt, please write down his/her name, address, and donation amount on a slip of paper and attach it to your pledge sheet when you turn in your money. Sandy will print receipts for those donors requesting a receipt. If there are only a few donors that have requested a receipt, she will mail the receipts out. If there are so many donors wanting a receipt that the cost of postage will be prohibitive, she will give the printed receipts back to the families who will then distribute those receipts to their donors. Feel free to email Sandy at msloveless@att.net with questions.
Thanks again for your hard work to make the shoot-a-thon a HUGE SUCCESS!

Membership Fees
The registration fee for the inaugural year of TSHSAA will be $45 per family. This fee is primarily covering insurance costs and possibly some general operating expenses for the organization. Each individual sport will have additional player fees that will go toward the specific expenses of operating those sports. If you have completed a membership registration form (Family Membership or PIE), please send your $45 check or money order to TSHSAA, PO Box 663, Farmington, AR 72730. If you have not completed a registration form, please register online at www.tshsaa.org and mail your payment to the TSHSAA address. Registration fees are due by July 8. For insurance purposes, after July 8 student athletes of TSHSAA will not be able to practice/participate if the family registration fee is unpaid. The basketball coaches are currently planning a few basektball skills camps to be conducted in July so we need to get insurance purchased quickly
